Registering all Canadians
The Canadian High Commission in Barabdos is conducting a registration drive and invites all Canadian citizens residing in St. Lucia to register. Registration cards may be obtained from the Canadian High Commission, PO Box 404, Bishop's Court Hill, St. Michael, Barbados, Tel. (246) 429-3550 or the local Canadian warden, Jim Batterton, tel (758) 456-2105 or Brian Willet, tel. (758) 456-2104 or 453-0216. Information on the regustration cards is governed by provisions of the Privacy Act and accordingly may not be divulged to third parties except in emergiencies (e.g. natural disasters).

Friday 23 February: 'Strictly Matrimony', play by Errol Hill, and 'The Marriage' by Anton Chekov. Both plays produced by Kendall Hippolyte, 'The Marriage' is directed by 24-year-old Richard Ambroise. Venue: The Lighthouse Theatre.

Sunday 11 March, 12 noon - 2:30 pm: annual Poverty Meal for Marian Home for the Elderly. Under patronage of Governor General Dame Pearlette Louisy. Venue: The guest house villa Santa Maria, Mount of Prayer, Coubaril, Castries. $50 per person: 1 bowl soup, 1 roll, water.
Motor Treasure Hunt
18 March: Charity Motor Treasure Hunt. Organised by the Rotary Club of St. Lucia. Competitive, navigational, automotive fun event held on public roads in compliance with prevailing traffic laws, giving particpants the opportunity to learn and experience more about the culture, history, environment and touristic attributes of St. Lucia.
