Bridging The Academic Gap
C
harterhouse aims to help students of all levels bridge the academic gap. This is achieved through our continuous efforts to secure affiliations with external institutions and the richness and diversity of the programmes which we provide, promoting self-confidence in all who attend Charterhouse. Our academic bridging programmes are designed to help students acquire or upgrade their skills in order to either move ahead with their education or prepare for the future world of work. We recognise that many potential students may be uncomfortable with sitting public examinations and while we acknowledge that such examinations are important, students who only wish to undertake a single-subject examination are able to do so in their final year through our affiliations. To this end we are affiliated with the following institutions:
Institute of Cost and Executive Accountants [UK]
Association of Certified Bookkeepers - NCVQ Level 3 [UK]
College of Preceptor [UK]
Faculty of Business Administrators [UK]
Institute of Carpenters [UK]
Institute of Financial Controllers [UK]
Vieux-Fort Comprehensive Secondary School - Cambridge University A-Level [St. Lucia]
Institute of Counselling and Psychotherapy [St. Lucia]
Kensington University [USA]
Charterhouse is also registered via the Ministry of Education as an examination centre for the University of the West Indies Caribbean Examination council (CXC) - a secondary school certification and pre-university entrance requirement.
