The House Person/Educational Nanny is responsible for the welfare and development of pupils in the boarding section as well as the day. With the house parents we have allied staff to look after the house keeping aspect . The concept is to maintain and develop pupil social skills and deportment.The house parent and home room teacher plays a key role in the life of pupils and is the first point of contact with parents.
Subject teachers are responsible for the progress of pupils in the class room as well as providing termly report. The school also provides parents with the opportunity to contact pupils subject teachers.
Chaplainship of the school is very important as this forms part of the Christian aspect of the life of the school curricular. Every term the school has what we call a season of prayer which enhances the spiritual life of the pupils and staff alike.
The health of the pupils is most important to the school for this reason we have access to a medical practitioner who is one of the advisors to the school .We also have a nurse practitioner with twenty years experience working both in the United Kingdom and St.Lucia.
Prefect or teachers assistants as we call them at Charterhouse are fully established to enhance the management skills of the pupils. They exercise and carry out some daily routines in the classroom and the school environment on the whole.
