 It is my privilege and pleasure to be the Patron of these Educational Institutions. The search for excellence from students forms part of the administration's goal. The School and the College provide access as well as a high quality of secondary and tertiary education to meet the future demands of the 21st century.
As a Christian institution the ethos suggest that Truth lies within us all, but, we just have to search for it as hidden treasures. In this direction I believe the trail has been laid for you to grasp the opportunity to gain knowledge, wisdom and understanding from this private and independent institution.
Our minds are like a garden, it needs to be cultivated for it to bear fruit. All who would have the privilege to attend Charterhouse would have left having completed their course of study with cultivated and beautiful thoughts, grace and kindness towards those who may come their way.
Educational excellence provides an exciting challenge as well as a unique opportunity for the future world of work.
Professor Whitehead, an educational theorist said in the aims of education:
"Students are alive, and the purpose of education is to stimulate and guide their self-development.....teachers should also be alive with living thoughts......"
I believe this is true of Charterhouse.
I hope parents, school board, students and Staff find reassurance and success they wish in these changing times. It is my sincere wish to see that a partnership of home, community and student emerge which can make the new education service provided for you the participants a success.
