Readers of the magazine singled out many of the island's well known hotels for major awards. Among those selected, Ladera Resort, located in Soufriere one of the most picturesque and dramatic areas of the island won the top prize for the Best Hotel with a view. Other prize categories awarded to other hotels included the "Caribbean's Most Romantic Small Hotel," and "Best Hotel with a View."

More recently, personnel from Islands Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine arrived in St. Lucia to conduct a major shoot along with camera crew, stylists and models.  St. Lucia was chosen for the shoot because of its dramatic natural beauty.  The magazine, which is one of the most prestigious in the travel industry, delivers information on planning dream weddings in destinations around the world with a heavy slant toward tropical weddings. Be aware that the Application for Marriage must be made to the Governor General of St. Lucia after two days on the Island. The following original documents are to be produced, which should all be originals: Birth Certificate; Passport; Proof of decree absolute, if divorced; If a widower/widow, death certificate of former spouse is required; If under 18, evidence of consent in the form of an affidavit stamped by the Notary Royal is required.
