'A Word from Heaven' Crusade
2nd June - 25th June: 'A Word from Heaven' Crusade, with Dr. Vaughn and Jennifer Brown. Mission St. Lucia, at George the Fifth Park in Castries. Daily at 3.30pm the Youth on Fire Ministry (after-school gathering and special ministry to young adults), and 6.30pm 'A Word from Heaven' Crusade. Every Saturday at 3.30pm music workshops with the Vision in Action Choir.
Open day at C&W in Corinth
Saturday 3, Sunday 4th June: Open Day at Cable and Wireless' Corinth office. With booths showcasing various aspects of C&W's operations, including chat sessions, internet café and popular theatre. Starts at 10am each day.
Walk for the Environment
Sunday 4th June, 'Walk for the Environment' in observance of World Environmental Day (5th June). Organised by the St. Lucia National Trust. Start at Babonneau Playing Field, finish at Pigeon Island National Landmark. The ten mile course takes participants through La Croix, Paix Bouche, Plateau, Morne Citon, Desmareaux, Riviere Mitant, La Feuillet and Bonne Terre. Call the Trust at 452-5005 for more information.

Sunday 9th July: Vieux Fort Kiddies Pageant, Friendship Park, 1pm. Saturday 15th July: Dance, Vieux Fort Town Hall, 9pm. Sunday 16th July: Vieux Fort J'Ouvert and Costume Parade, Friendship Park, 1pm.
Rideathon & Walkathon
Sunday 11th June, Rideathon and Walkathon. Start at Vigie playing field, finish at Pigeon Point beach. Handicapped event start at 6.30am, ride & walk start at 7am. Open to individuals, teams, clubs, companies, schools and the handicapped. Also 3 on 3 co-ed beach volleyball and 3 on 3 small goals competition. Registration $5 per person, first 500 entries get a free t-shirt or vest. Proceeds to be donated to the National Council for the Disabled. Fill out an entry form before 9th June, to be collected at WLBL depots. Call 451-6841.

8th July, Castries Comprehensive School Auditorium: Gospelypso Festival. Preliminaries of the Gospel Calypso contest start after 15th May. Live CD will be produced of night of the finals.
Paradise Regained in Montserrat
8-23rd July: Paradise Regained Festival - two week-festival in Montserrat for Caribbean residents and neighbours of Montserrat in an effort to revitalise the tourism industry. With a food fair, theatrical productions, beach picnics, masquerades, concerts, gala reception, variety shows, a Millennium Ball, celebrity cookout, lots of Irish music, dance and masquerades and special activities for children (beach games, old time games, art and dance lessons, poetry reading, story telling and face painting).
