Health and Fitness Walk

Sunday 11 March: Health and Fitness Awareness Walk along the Millennium Highway. In celebration of International Women's Day. Starts at 6:00 am.

Registering all Canadians

The Canadian High Commission in Barbados is conducting a registration drive and invites all Canadian citizens residing in St. Lucia to register. Registration cards may be obtained from the Canadian High Commission, PO Box 404, Bishop's Court Hill, St. Michael, Barbados, Tel. Information on the regustration cards is governed by provisions of the Privacy Act and accordingly may not be divulged to third parties except in emergiencies (e.g. natural disasters).

Poverty Meal

Sunday 11 March, 12 noon - 2:30 pm: annual Poverty Meal for Marian Home for the Elderly. Under patronage of Governor General Dame Pearlette Louisy. Venue: The guest house villa Santa Maria, Mount of Prayer, Coubaril, Castries. $50 per person: 1 bowl soup, 1 roll, water.

Women in Concert

Saturday 17 March: 'Women in Concert': fund raising activity in aid of the St. Lucia Crisis Centre. Venue: National Cultural Centre, 8:00 pm.

Motor Treasure Hunt

18 March: Charity Motor Treasure Hunt. Organised by the Rotary Club of St. Lucia. Competitive, navigational, automotive fun event held on public roads in compliance with prevailing traffic laws, giving particpants the opportunity to learn and experience more about the culture, history, environment and touristic attributes of St. Lucia.

Festival of Comedy

Saturday 31 March: Festival of Comedy. Venue: Piegon Island.

Ladies of Gospel

Saturday 31st March: St. Lucia's Ladies of Gospel. With the most talented female gospel singers from around the island. Venue: National Cultural Centre, Castries. Hosted by Rachel Deterville and Anselma St. Prix.

Funatix launches

1st May: Launching of carnival band 'Funatix' at Pigeon Point. With Edwin Yearwood and Alison Hinds. Further launchings in New York (26 May) and Martinique (9th June). 26th May: motorcade around the island, with costumes on display.
