    9-12th October: sixth conference of Heads of State of CARICOM, to be held in St. Lucia. Opening ceremony on 9th October at Hyatt Regency, feature address by prime minister of St. Lucia Dr Kenny Antony. Main theme: Globalisation. National Children's Rally

    Tuesday 10th October: Children's rally at Derek Walcott Square, Castries. Part of Children's Awareness Month. Organised by the ministry of Community Development.

Indian Cultural Performance

    Wednesday 11th October: Indian Cultural Performance at the National Cultural Centre, Barnard Hill, from 7:00 pm. Organised by the Wintrust Foundation in association with the Primrose Bledman Memorial Fund and the Cancer Society. Tickets $25.

    16th-19th October: 24th Annual Caribbean Tourism Conference of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation. Allegro Pan Juniors go public

    27th-29th October: Dominica World Creole Music Festival. With creole food, fashion and of course music in the genres of Soukous, Salsa, Zouk, Zydeco, Cadence, Compa, Quadrille and even some Reggae.
