World Creole Music Festival in Dominica

Royal Navy ship HMS Northumberland

    November: Miss Model International 1999: international modelling competition with models from 76 countries in Africa, Europe, South America, Asia, Australia, Canada, the US and the Caribbean.

St. Lucia Promotion in USA

    The St. Lucia Tourist Board has embarked on its Island Adventure Promotion in the US market. Those purchasing the Island Adventure Package from their travel agent in the US receive benefits such as a free night on a stay of four nights or longer, discounts from certain stores and restaurant, free adventure tours, and gift vouchers. The promotion runs until November 30. Last year, the promotion resulted in a 15 percent increase in visitor arrivals during the summer months.
