    Tuesday 23 January: launch of 'Twin Peaks of Excellence - The Nobel Laureates of Saint Lucia'. Venue: National Cultural Centre, 10:00 am. Published by the National Archives Authority.

Winston Branch paints walls at Alliance

    Until the end of January: exhibition of work by St. Lucian professor of art at Kansas State University, Winston Branch. Branch has painted his abstract art onto the walls of the Alliance Francaise at Pointe Seraphine. Winston Branch is the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship to New York, the Prix de Rome and various other awards and his work has been shown all over the world.

Leprosy Awareness Month

    All of January: International Leprosy Awareness Month. Month of public education and awareness-raising activities in St. Lucia.

    Wednesday 24 January: Derek Walcott lecture at the NIS Conference Room, 8:00 pm.

Conference on Project Management

    26-27 January: first Caribbean and Latin American Conference on Project Management. Venue: Sherbourne Conference Centre. Exhibition to run concurrently with the conference. Registration is open, and a few sponsorhips are still available.

'Walk for Hope' for Disabled
