Agricultural Economist/Marketing Specialist at CAFP

    The Caribbean Agriculture & Fisheries Programme (CAFP) came into being with the establishment of the Programme Management and Coordination Unit (PMCU) in Port of Spain in April 1998. The CAFP is a Euro 22m regional programme designed to promote development in the Caribbean agriculture and fisheries sectors, with particular emphasis on private sector initiatives. The CAFP is funded by the European Commission, will run up to April 2004, and covers the 15 member countries of CARIFORUM.
    Under the direction of the Programme Manager, the Agricultural Economist/ Marketing Specialist will carry out the following tasks:
    * Participate in the appraisal and development of projects submitted to the CARIFORUM Agribusiness Research and Training Fund (CARTF);
    * Participate in the Programme's activities in relation to marketing, organisational/management and economic development issues;
    * Contribute to the Programme's work in relation to marketing, trade and credit;
    * Support and participate generally in the work of the PMCU.

    * A first degree and ideally a postgraduate qualification, in one or more of the following fields: Agricultural Economics, Business, Project Planning or Marketing;

Project Manager at Basic Needs Trust Fund

    The Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF), a project funded jointly by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and the Government of St. Lucia, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Project Manager.
