Managing Director at Insurance Broking Firm

Technical Assistant at ECCB in St. Kitts

Administrative Assistant at SALCC

    Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Administrative Assistant at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College.
    Qualifications and experience: Applicants should have a degree in Management Studies or equivalent qualification from a recognised university. He/she should have excellent management and communication skills and the ability to foster sound interpersonal relationships among a wide cross-section of staff. Training and/or experience in personnel management would be an asset.
    Duties: The Administrative Assistant to the Division shall report directly to the Dean and shall generally be responsible for assisting the Dean in the management and administration of the Division. More specifically, the officer will be expected to:
    * Assist the Dean in the day-to-day functioning of the Division;
    * Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for the Division;
    * Be responsible for the management of the Divisional office;

Financial Controller/Senior Accountants in Bermuda

    Government of Bermuda. Financial Controller/Senior Accountants $75,000 - 92,000 (per annum), three year contract. Vacancies exist in various Government Ministries for Senior Accountants and/or Financial Controllers.
    Under the direction of the respective Permanent Secretary the Comptroller will assume responsibility for the Ministry's current account budget, as well as capital budget.
    The post holder will be responsible for:
    * Preparing the Ministry's budget;
    * Ensuring expenditure is controlled and in accordance with Government Financial Instructions;
    * Timely financial reports to all Managers;
    * Providing advise to the Minister and Senior Officers on financial policy and related matters;
    * Be hands-on and supervise all accounting and administrative activities in the Ministry;

    Applicants must hold a professional accounting designation and be a full member of a professional accounting body (CMA, CA, CPA, CGA). Five years post qualification experience in a related government department or a large private corporation is also required.
    The applicant must be highly computer literate, have senior level experience in management and supervision of staff and also be a hands-on Accountant. Working knowledge of the JD Edwards financial software would be an asset.
    The Bermuda dollar is equivalent to the US dollar.
    At present there is no personal income tax in Bermuda and statutory eductions from salary amount to approximately 15%.

    Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) Caribbean Anti-Money Laundering Programme, executive search.
    The Caribbean Anti-Money Laundering Programme is a five-year programme which commenced in March 1999, funded by the European Union (EU) through Cariforum, the United States Government and the United Kingdom, and implemented by the CFATF. It has been developed for operation in the Caribbean Basin Member Countries.
    This programme, which includes training and other initiatives affecting the legal/judicial, enforcement agencies and financial services sectors of the region, is aimed at reducing the incidence of money laundering, and the seizure and forfeiture of property connected to such activity.
    We are now inviting applications, subject to a two-year contract, to assist in the delivery of this programme, for the post of Financial Sector Advisor (Port of Spain, Trinidad).
    * You will be a trained, experienced senior financial sector professional with an in-depth knowledge of money-laundering issues and their application within the financial sector.

Community Liaison Officer at SLREP
