Programmes Officer and Cultural Education Officer at Folk Research Centre

    Applications are invited for the following posts at Folk Research Centre:
    1. Programmes Officer.

Programmes Manager at SLHTA

    The St. Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association invites applications for the post of Programmes Manager. The successful applicant will report to the Executive Vice President and will be responsible for carrying out the duties outlined below.
    Duties:
    * Assist in undertaking surveys and needs assessments of the membership of the Association, and in preparing proposals for the development of new programmes, projects, activities and membership services.
    * Assist in organising fund raising ventures, and in soliciting external funding and corporate sponsorship for Association programmes, projects and activities.
    * Assist in planning, coordinating, publicising and monitoring execution of Association projects, programmes and activities.
    * Represent the Association on various tourism industry working committees hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and the St. Lucia Tourist Board.
    * Assist in mobilising representation and participation in the activities of the various internal committees of the Association.
    * Assist in identifying and attracting new members to the Association and in communicating information on activities and benefits to the Association's membership.
    Experience and qualifications:
    The Programmes Manager would be required to be reasonably well acquainted with the current issues and constraints that impact the growth and development of the tourism industry in St. Lucia. Previous industry experience would therefore be an asset.
    Knowledge of tourism marketing would also be useful. A high level of proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database and other computer software programmes is essential. Applicants should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism or Hospitality studies or a closely related field. Other recognised professional qualifications in the Tourism or  Hospitality field would also be considered.

Production Manager

    Our clients, a major manufacturer engaged in the fabrication of steel products seeks to hire a Production Manager. The ideal candidate should have the following:
    * A degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or at least 5 years experience at management or supervisory level in a related field.

Manager Research and Marketing at ECHMB in St. Kitts

Programme Manager Sectoral Programmes at CCS

    Applications are invited from suitably qualified nationals of CARICOM Member Sates for the above mentioned post in the Caribbean Community Secretariat with assigned duty station in Guyana.
    Functions of the post:
    Under the general direction of the Adviser, Single Market and Sectoral Programmes, the Programme Manager, Sectoral Programmes shall be responsible for the coordination of the Secretariat's programmes for agricultural development, tourism development, industrial development, development of the Region's services sector and transportation.
    Qualifications and experience:
    A Master's Degree in Economics or relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualifications in the Social Sciences plus a minimum of seven years professional and management experience. Experience in dealing with Regional and International Organisations would be an asset.
