    The Financial Controller
    A senior management position responsible for managing the accounting and finance department of the Organisation and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and the Management Committee. Specifically, the Financial Controller will, among other duties:
    * provide the Organisation with strategic financial services;
    * account for the Organisation's financial and economic transactions;
    * develop and maintain systems and internal controls;
    * coordinate the budget preparation;
    * manage the financial accounting information systems and prepare all computerised accounting records, budgets and management and financial reports;

    The Car Park Administrator
    A senior management position responsible for the administration of the Castries Car Park Facility. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer and the Management Committee and will, among other duties:
    * plan and administer the Car Park Facility;
    * advise management on the establishment of a paid on-street parking programme in the City of Castries;
    * prepare operating budgets; and
    * supervise, evaluate, and report on individual staff performances.
    Qualifications:
    * M.Sc. in Urban Development Planning with special emphasis in transport planning policy and administration, or M.Sc. in transport planning, policy and administration; or M.Sc. in transport planning and traffic management, or M.Sc. in management with special technical training in transport planning, policy and administration, or M.Sc. in project administration with special transport planning, policy and administration;
    * 6 years working experience, the last 3 being in a supervisory position in one of the disciplines outlined above;
    * ability to develop and maintain operational controls;
    * ability to lead in a transparent, open, team-oriented, and decentralised decision-making corporate environment;
    * experience in the use of word processing (Wordperfect and/or Microsoft Office software); and

    The Administrative Assistant/Secretary
    This is a supervisory level management position responsible for the management of the corporate offices of the Organisation and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Specifically, the Administrative Assistant/Secretary will, among other duties:
    * supervise, evaluate and report on the individual performances of staff of the administrative secretariat;
    * maintain records of schedule meetings, record minutes of the Board and Committee meetings, and reproduce and present those minutes for review;
    * draft correspondence and manage the corporate filing systems;
    * prepare fax, e-mail, and other messages and ensure their timely dispatch;
    * manage appointments for the Chief Executive Officer, attend to visitors, and handle routine enquiries from the general public;

    * arrange travel and accommodation for senior management required to undertake official business.
    Qualifications:
    * A diploma (CPS, APS, etc) in secretarial studies, office management, or equivalent, a B.Sc. would be an asset;
    * specialised training in software applications (wordprocessing, spreadsheet management, and database management) customer relations, and supervisory management;
    * 5 years working experience, the last 3 of which should be in a senior secretarial or an administrative capacity.

Director at OECS Secretariat

    Vacancy Note for a Director, Corporate Services, OECS Secetariat. The candidate will be expected to assume responsibility for all the administrative functions of the Secretariat, and for the provision of advise and technical support to the Institutions of the Organisation whicn are based both inside and outside of St. Lucia. Such support will also be necessary from time to time in respect of externally funded projects, which are managed and executed by the Secretariat.
    In particular, he/she will be expected to coordinate the work of the technical staff of the Human Resources Management, Financial and Accounting,Information and Documentation, and General Administration Programmes.
    The candidate should therefore be familiar with the workings of organisations of a regional/international nature, evidenced by experience at a senior level in such organisations either in the public or private sector.     The successful candidate would, in addition to several years of relevant experience, have academic qualifications at the post graduate level, and have received specialised training in at least two of the relevant subject areas.

Installation and Support Technician at M&C

    Applications are invited for the position of Installation and Support Technician with the Management Information Systems (MIS) department of the M&C Group of Companies. This appointment will be for a period of one year.
    This successful candidate will assist the MIS department team in employing new systems and applications or configuring existing ones, primarily on the Microsoft Windwos platform, throughout the Group.
    Qualifications and experience:
    The successful candidate would have been educated to at least GCE A'Level or post-secondary diploma standard. Qualification at the level of Associate degree or higher is desirable. Microsoft certification (such as MCSE or MCP) and some knowledge of the Unix operating system would be an asset.
    He/she should be able to install and configure PC hardware and software, including where necessary, Microsoft Windows NT operating systems. He/she should also be able to diagnose and resolve typical problems encountered in the installation and use of such systems. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking is also required.
