Deputy Director at NEMO

    National Emergency Management Office (NEMO).
    Job title: Deputy Director NEMO
    Duty station: National Emergency Management Office, Vigie.
    Functional relationships: Works under the direction of and reports to the Director and collaborates with other staff members of the Agency.
    Duties and responsibilities:

Maintenance Technician at SLMTL

    Applicants must hold a professional accounting designation and be a full member of a professional accounting body (CMA, CA, CPA, CGA). Five years post qualification experience in a related government department or a large private corporation is also required.
    The applicant must be highly computer literate, have senior level experience in management and supervision of staff and also be a hands-on Accountant. Working knowledge of the JD Edwards financial software would be an asset.
    The Bermuda dollar is equivalent to the US dollar.
    At present there is no personal income tax in Bermuda and statutory eductions from salary amount to approximately 15%.

Financial Sector Advisor at CFATF in Trinidad

    Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) Caribbean Anti-Money Laundering Programme, executive search.
    The Caribbean Anti-Money Laundering Programme is a five-year programme which commenced in March 1999, funded by the European Union (EU) through Cariforum, the United States Government and the United Kingdom, and implemented by the CFATF. It has been developed for operation in the Caribbean Basin Member Countries.
    This programme, which includes training and other initiatives affecting the legal/judicial, enforcement agencies and financial services sectors of the region, is aimed at reducing the incidence of money laundering, and the seizure and forfeiture of property connected to such activity.
    We are now inviting applications, subject to a two-year contract, to assist in the delivery of this programme, for the post of Financial Sector Advisor (Port of Spain, Trinidad).
    * You will be a trained, experienced senior financial sector professional with an in-depth knowledge of money-laundering issues and their application within the financial sector.
    * You will have had experience developing regulations and/or guidance notes for the sector re. money laundering, together with a sound understanding of the political/social/economic dynamics of the region;
    * Sound communication skills are essential, as is PC keyboard literacy;
    * Knowledge of aid programmes in regional consulting programmes and training experience are desirable.
