Nearby are the Mamiku River and Botanical Gardens, Fox Grove Inn hotel and restaurant, and the countryside communities of Praslin, Mon Repos and Patience. The capital of Castries lies 40 minutes' drive to the north-west; the island's second-largest town of Vieux Fort 20 minutes' to the south.

The 3 acres of land run down a gently sloping hillside, with access along the top as well as the bottom.
